Respell is on a mission to change how we view and perform work.

What if we had only a few meetings a month, minimal email, and no more busy work. Imagine if most of your job today was enhanced, some parts fully automated, and all of it impactful.

Wouldn’t we feel more free? Wouldn’t we be able to create something greater?

My first job was supposed to be data entry. I did not, in fact, enter any data - I built a tool to do it for me. When I succeeded, more paths opened up for me. My colleagues were able to accomplish more. And, the best part, I didn’t have to do the mundane data entry task. Everybody won.

We are getting closer every day to a new normal. We’re moving at a breakneck speed to automate the individual components; the “doing” work. Researching, writing, analyzing, and other basic tasks require less effort than ever before. These are the fundamental building blocks of our productivity today, but as we delegate more of the minutia to technology, we can be more productive and rewind to what work was before: a craft, an art form.

This is the future Respell is working towards. A world where you can accomplish more than you could today with less time, or barely any time at all. Where you don’t need to worry about the small things, and the main task left is for you to make decisions; on what’s next, and on what’s important.

This is a future where work is more human.

In March, we launched our first product: Spells. With Spells, you can easily create workflows to automate your tasks. We’ve been amazed at what our customers have automated with it.

Today, we launched 3 new major releases to further our vision and make new categories of work optional. And they all work together under one roof. Introducing Data Sources, Chat, and Suggestions:

Data Sources

• Upload your data or sync entire vaults (like Google Drive). Use your data in Chat or in your Spells.

Chat

• Ask Elle to do research, run or create Spells, make a call, search your files… or do anything else Respell can do.

Suggestions

• Automation on autopilot. Elle learns about you and your team over time to identify new Spells, forgotten tasks, or quick wins to keep you working at your best.

We hope these new features give every professional a glimpse into a future where your productivity is not tied to your time.

Additionally, we are thrilled to announce a $4.75M seed round led by Craft Ventures. We wouldn’t have gotten so far so quickly without their support and guidance.

Humans should only need to make decisions - that’s the most human part of work. We’re not at that point yet, but we are getting closer.
